Monday 19th January marks the beginning of Cervical Cancer Prevention Week. Over 3,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer in the UK alone, making it the most common cancer in women aged 35 and under. However, an alarming 20% of women don’t attend their screening appointments.
We talk to London Bridge Hospital Consultant Gynaecologist Deborah Bruce about the screening process, and why it is so important.
